braid model

Wondering if anyone has come up w/an approach to this:

- braided product (like a rope)

- needs to be shown in various shapes in use (like tying a rope in a knot)

What about a swept protrusion?  Lay out the path as a curve and then use a cloverleaf shaped section to sweep along the path along with a trajpar relation to twist it?   It would give you the appearance of a braid.

Now if you want a true braid...  Same basic process, with more paths and sections?

Great info!!

thank you
