change start file name prt0001 by RON001

Ronan, Do you mean the name or the template part? If you are referring to the template part, check out these two config options: start_model_dir, and template_solid_part. David

David's covered your start part info, but if you're talking about the default part name that Pro|E gives new parts, I don't think that's changeable.

Hi, I'm talking about the name; when you create a new part, the name is "prt0001" by default. And I would like to change this by another one, like RON0001 for exemple. I thought that was possible.

hi, if I'm right,

there is a config option (or it was) to clear, by default, name field, in "new file" dialog box, in which case, user must fill it manually, each time, new file is created.

However I can't remember, or find it 😕
