invoke custom tool from creo menu

Hi all,

I need to invoke a custom application from the creo menu interface. So far i have set a menu placeholder for my application on the interface (see attached) using the "Customize screen" but i can only map those applications/commands which came with the tool (OOTB). Is there a way i can get my custom application to be on the list of commands that can be mapped back to the menu/flyout.

The custom application is a PERL TK based GUI.

You can use a Mapkey to run a system command.

To do so, start the Mapkey recorder (type "Mapkey" into the search box), and click on "OS Script". Here you can enter ststem commands, such as the path to your program. Then make a button that runs your Mapkey.
