checking licence status without using ptcstatus

Hi,

is there an easy way to check the availability of licences other than PTCstatus? We have a startupapp which is currently written in vb.net whichallow users to select customer configs etc and it would be nice to be able to report licence availability as well. The app may be re-written in java if that would make it easier?

Cheers

Simon Lucas

PTCStatus is simply a front-end to the lmutil command.
lmutil is included with all applications that use FlexLM (AKA: FlexNet) licensing.
Although there are several options, the common usage to list license usage is:
lmutil lmstat -c <port>@<server> -a
example: lmutil lmstat -c 7788@mylicserver -a
For Pro/E, lmutil can be found in <install point=">\<arch>\obj
For 32-bit Windows, arch is i486_nt.
For 64-bit Windows, arch is x86e_win64.
