It is fascinating to me that after all of these years and revenue of 3 Billions USD per year… You are still unable to hire UI UX designers to create a logical workflow and interface, instead of this useless tabs and popups that fly around and waste time…Even solidworks got some things right and solidworks is not a good software at all… 

Hello everyone,I am running Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0 Education on Windows 11 ARM inside Parallels Desktop 20.4 on an Apple Mac mini M4 Pro with 12 Cores and 24 GB of RAM for the Virtual Machine.After adding the following lines at the beginning of parametric.psfENV=PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=AMD64ENV=PRO_MACHINE_TYPE=x86e_win64Creo starts and works correctly in Shaded mode. However, as soon as Shaded with Edges is enabled, severe graphical corruption appears. Hundreds of incorrect black lines are drawn between unrelated vertices. The surfaces themselves are rendered correctly.Interestingly, during the first second while the model is still loading, the edges are displayed correctly. The corruption only appears after the loading process has finished.Changing edge_display_quality from very_high to low only changes the edge quality but does not solve the issue.Larger assemblies also eventually crash with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.Trying the same on an older MacBook Air M1, Creo runs significan

Hi all,I'm working on a Windchill-integrated template library for Creo Parametric (currently on Creo 8, i am updating to 12). The setup is a web-based app (HTML + JavaScript using Pro/Web.Link) that displays a catalog of assembly templates stored in Windchill and allows users to insert them into an active assembly The core problem:When a user selects a template from the catalog, the app needs to do a recursive "Save As" of the entire template hierarchy — renaming every template-owned component to a new order-specific name — before assembling it. Hi folks,I’m running Creo Parametric Educational Edition 12.4.0.0. and I’m having issues with my config.pro file.I’m trying to turn on “tol_display” so that I don’t have to manually turn it on every time I create a drawing. Up to this point I go into the Configuration Editor make my change, export the updated file to the “C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 12.4.0.0\Common Files\text” folder but nothing happens. Whenever I create a new drawing, I have to manually turn on tol_display for that session. Inside the new config.pro file it’s set to “tol_display yes”.So why isn’t Creo reading the updated configurations from Config.pro?

I’m developing with Creo 5.0 TOOLKIT. I need to create cables and conductors programmatically. I found that higher versions provide ProCableAndConductorsCreate, but it's not available in Creo 5.0.I noticed ProCablesFromLogicalAllCreate can create all missing cables from logical references. Is there a way to use it (or other functions) to achieve the same “create a single cable with conductors” effect, without relying on a full logical import? Or must I stick with the combination of ProCableCreate and ProCableconductorCreate?Any suggested workflow or code examples would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Hi   We want to know which section is used in Flange (I, Arc, S , Open Etc...) using toolkit... Could not find any direct API for same. So , thought of using element tree. Is there any element which stores this predefined shape name for flange feature element tree?    Created a flange feature with I section, extracted element tree in XML. Modified flange as S section and extracted again element tree... Both the XML files are same so getting confused on how to identify which element is storing this information. If no element is there for this, is there any possibility to decide on this information?

According to the developer guide tkusetoc, this function supports passing a drawing view argument to display annotations only in the target view starting from Creo Parametric 2.0 M060. The official documentation states:From Creo Parametric 2.0 M060 onward, you can specify the view in which the annotations for the selected feature and component must be displayed. For the functions ProAnnotationByFeatureShow() and ProAnnotationByComponentShow(), specify the view where the annotations must be displayed. If you pass the input argument view as NULL, the annotations are displayed in all the views.However, during practical development, the function returns error code -9 (PRO_TK_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) whenever a valid non-NULL ProView handle is passed to the view parameter. When passing NULL to the view argument, all annotations are displayed across every drawing view as documented, which works as expected. I use a Wacom Tablet for daily use. I would love it if the User Interface/tabs would be allowed to move to the bottom of the screen. Yes I am lazy but bringing my pen to the top of the screen to move through the tabs is more difficult since they are at the top of the screen than if they were at the bottom of the screen. I use my stylus with the brush tool in Freestyle to move nodes around, so someone at PTC is thinking outside the box to make this more Stylus friendly, customization of the user interface would be a logical next step to make this easier to use.Does anyone have a script or a way to change this?

Hello. It is posible to rout a pipeline and add a fittings using toolkit in creo piping? Anybody has such expiriens?   Looks like posible to get some information about pipes in creo, but not posible to create new features...

Hello,I am working on a Creo Toolkit customization that needs to identify features created from a UDF and generate sequences based on the original UDF feature names.As described in CS196043, when a UDF is placed in Creo Parametric, the feature names from the source UDF are not preserved in the resulting model. Because of this behavior, I cannot directly compare the placed feature names with the original UDF feature names.However, in the UDF Placement dialog, under the Options tab, the "Redefine These Features" section displays the original feature names from the source UDF. This information appears to be available somewhere internally within Creo.I reviewed the Creo Toolkit API documentation but could not find an API that provides access to the original UDF feature names.My question is:Is there any Creo Toolkit API that allows access to the original feature names shown in the "Redefine These Features" list? Hi everyone,I am facing an issue in my Creo Toolkit application and would appreciate any suggestions.WorkflowI launch my Toolkit application. A UI dialog is displayed where the user enters the required drawing parameters. When the user clicks the Apply button, the drawing is loaded using ProMdlFiletypeLoad(). I then apply a drawing setup (.dtl) file using ProInputFileRead(). The model parameters are updated. The model and drawing are regenerated.ProblemWhen the drawing is first loaded, it appears correctly with the expected formatting and DTL settings.However, as soon as the parameter update/regeneration begins, the drawing temporarily becomes scattered. Dimensions, tables, notes, and other annotations move from their correct locations, almost as if the drawing is momentarily using a different unit system (for example, inches instead of millimeters).I would like to prevent the user from seeing this intermediate scattered state.My questionsIs this expected behavior when loading a drawin

When I export a PDF, the phantom and hidden lines appear to be the same, but in the Creo drawing, it’s clearly different. The only way I found that will reflect the phantom line geometry is what I did with the line highlighted in yellow. I described how I did it below.Does anyone know how to fix this? Hello everyone, I have 2 parameters, and i want that when those parameters are in certain value the system pop up a message that say something like “parameter 1 is… and 2 is … “. Like for example: i have a material and a treatment. Not every treatment can be execute on every material. Fe i choose a quench on titanium. The thermal treatment is not possible or available on such material. A message should appear with “you choose this and this, please check”. FE when i am check in the part. So i want to do an initial confrontation of the 2 parameter. FE the material and the treatment. And where i will do this? I don’t want a real relation. But only a check. I read about the model check. How can i use it for this purpose? I hope i explain it clearly. Thank you

Hi everyone,We are currently developing a Creo TOOLKIT-based connector that synchronizes Creo models with an external system.As part of the synchronization workflow, the connector needs to detect changes made to the model (such as newly added parameters or geometry modifications). Before these changes can be synchronized, the model must first be saved so that the latest state is available. To avoid requiring users to manually save after every change, the connector automatically saves the model when necessary.However, we've observed that once the model is saved, the Undo history appears to be cleared. As a result, the user can no longer perform undo operations on the model that were enabled before the save.In some other CAD applications (e.g., Autodesk Inventor), saving the model does not clear the Undo history, allowing users to continue using Undo even after an autosave.I'd like to understand whether this behaviour is expected in Creo.Is it by design that File → Save (or ProMdlSave())

Hi, We have a new installation of Creo and Windchill., and I am setting up the system before rolling it out to our users. I want to be able to use IFX in a multi-user collaborative environment where everyone uses the same setup, thus having the same options. I also want to store the data in Windchill.. I have configured IFX to use catalogs of the fasteners we want to use, and I have created the dat and prt files to accompany this. The dat files contain all the instances that we need, and also adds specific parameters to the files on creation of the prt instance. All of this works perfectly when in a stand alone environment on my PC. (Thanks to Oliver of B&W for his help on this) The problem occurs when I try and enable the 'Windchill' options in the IFX options. I have uploaded the catalogs and data files to Windchill, and pointed the options to these folders:When I start IFX, it creates the folder ‘PATH_ABS_WINDCHILL_DOWNLOAD’ and populates the sub-folders correctly
