Here is the information concerning our machine:
It is a Deckel Maho DMU 50 eVolution with a Heidenhain TNC 426 / 430PB control.
We can easily send, read and run Pro-E files at the machine. However, the issue with Pro-E to machine communication is the resolution that is obtained when you incorporate a third or > axis (ie, surfacing) into the sequence. The fashion in which it is breaking down 3-D radial / surfacing moves produces very unacceptable surface finishes.
We have adjusted parameters within the sequence itself to try to rectify this condition, decreasing "step-over" and "linear tolerance", to no avail. It appears to be an adjustment that is needed either in the post or machine control itself.
Any help to resolve this problem would be invaluable.
