Anyone out there using software to control the release and distribution of CNC files to the machines? Specifically, I am looking for companies that need to maintain history, and release control such as FDA, DOD, FCC or other requirements. An example of this type of software is ForCAM.
If you use software like this could you answer the following:
Why did you select this software?
Are you using Windchill with it? If so, how does it work?
What do you like best about this software?
What do you like least?
Would you recommend other companies buy this software?
Thanks, in advance, for the time and feedback.

Here is the only reply I received:
CIMCO NC-Base. It meets the demands of FDA and all these...
DNC Integrated / Machine Data Collection (MDC)
Excellent for versioning of documents, NC-Programs
Integrated backplotter for ISO code
A wonderful NC-Program editor…
You can download it and try it for 30 days…
Support in US is also good…
We have it here: 15 seats + 30 seats of MDC
I would not hesitate to recommend it…

Manual edits by the machinist are discouraged. The machinist provide feedback to the programmers to allow for permanent changes to the MFG file if required.
I am also looking for same kind of control for CNC program.
Can you please elaborate your process for CNC file control. I mean from Pro Mfg how it get transfered in Windchill? How it's stored in Windchill? How it tranferred to CNC machine ?
Thanks,
