Happy Friday All!
I wanted to call your attention to a relatively new review of Mathcad Prime 2.0, written by Evan Yares of Design World. Check out this blog post titled, "Design World Calls Mathcad Prime 2.0 "A Solid Tool for Documenting Engineering Calculations" in which Yares takes you through different elements of Mathcad Prime 2.0, some of the objectives behind creating it, and why it's one of the top CAS tools there are. Here's an excerpt:
"In this article Yares explored how more and more frequently engineers are running into hidden errors when using spreadsheets and how important it is for engineers to be using the right tool for the job- one that lets you do mathematical calculations in symbolic form."
"Yares goes on to discuss two programs- Mathcad Prime 2.0 and Maple 16. He says, “One of PTC’s important goals in the creation of Mathcad Prime was improved usability for non-expert users. Jakov Kucan, PTC’s director of product strategy for Mathcad, expressed this well: “Engineers need to spend their time thinking about problems, not fighting the tool.”
Enjoy!
