Mathcad

I have two calculation sheets: One is L55-529.7255, and the second one is L55-538.6610. I need to import the functions E529 and U1 into the L-55-538.6610.And the values of E529 and U1 are added to E538 and U2. All the functions are defined with matrix notation. But when I apply the command “Include” the function E529 is ok in the sum, but U1, it says “this variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly”. But if you escrow down to the last sheet in the file L55-529.7255, you can see that there are no errors and that I am able to sum E529+U1.I tried in the opposite way, importing L-55-538.6610, using “Include” into L55-529.7255 and I have the exact same error. But I cannot find what the problem is with the U1 function when this is imported in L-55-538.6610 and U2 when this is imported into L55-529.7255. I am a fun of Mathcad (the classic version in my case), but far from being an expert. So sometimes I come here, but recently I often use AI chats to query for basic help. I found that ChatGPT and Claude (free plans) are probably the most responsive models in my case. But they tend to not follow always my prompts that I am still using MC11.2 old version. But there are many other AI models around.So I would be curious to know what kind of AI models new and experienced users here prefer - if they use them at all.Thanks.

I am still using the old Mathcad 11.2, despite the difficulties with the new OSes. I asked to ChatGPT for help, but I did not get any solution. I wrote (see picture) two equations, and I asked to solve for variables p and w symbolically. Afterwards - and only afterwards - however I would like to capture the symbolic solution (in this case of variable w) and turn some symbols into numeric values and make relations with just few variables like w vs. r, so to obtain a function like w(r):= etc., that  I can plot it.As can be seen from the screenshot, however, MC11.2 appears unable to assign some variables the specified values. ChatGPT suggested defining a new variable and then “optimizing” it, which I tried using wR(r):= ..., but that approach did not work either.Of course, one could simply copy and paste the solution returned by find; however, I am curious to know whether there is a way to achieve the same result avoiding such a manual intervention.Thanks in advance for any suggestions or

Hello!We have 2 users with 2 different computers reporting the same issue with their prime files.I don’t know if it has something to do with the latest august Windows 11 Cumulative update (KB5121003)?The issue started happening yesterday after the users updated their Windows 11.When we try to Save as PDF or use the Print function we get the same errors. And we have tried several PDF printers. It only creates a .PDF file with 0kb in size. I uploaded 2 files that we are experiencing this issue with.

Was wondering if there is a way to mod or get mathcad to add geometric algebra (or Clifford algebra diff name) into mathcad. THis would include multivectors, the wedge product and the geometric product? Not sure if there is any modding of mathcad at all for reference  

We would like to transfer our Mathcad 14.0 installation to a new hardware due to a hardware replacement. Is there any advice about how to get an updated license file?

After a Wibdows 11 update some weeks ago, Microsoft Edge version 150 closes a few seconds after it is opened. This is not a problem for me normaly because I prefer to use Google Chrome. However Mathcad Prime seems to insist on using Edge.I have set Chrome as the default browser and then installed Prime 12.0.0.1 even though I use English as the Prime language. Still no good.Does anyone know how to get Mathcad Prime to use Chrome?Thanks for your help.

PrimeConnect is also by request now a python library that connects python engineering applications with PTC Mathcad Prime. It allows python programs to generate editable Prime worksheets,  and retrieve Mathcad calculated results as native python and numpy objects.What is still needed is a brief manual on how to use it, but it is simple.CheersTerry

I would like to READTEXT from text file which would form a two-column matrix.  That part is easy.  Then I would like to copy the contents of the first matrix to a second matrix, then use that second matrix for other purposes, but unlinked to the first matrix.

If I upgrade my web account to a global support agreement will a mathcad 14 license be issued using the https://support.ptc.com/appserver/lm/mathcad/call_logger/callLogger.jsp tool. I understand mathcad 14 and 15 are no longer supported however this tool mentioned above is still present and mentioned in forums. I just want to know if it still will grant licenses if I upgrade my account to global support. If it does how do I update/upgrade my account to this? Has anyone else done this? We have used the non prime version of mathcad(s) for decades at our structural firm with hundreds of mathcad spread sheets. I have tried the trial of the latest prime and the conversion of the sheets is worrisome. ebooks using roarks and young will also not work. Not to mention probably not backwards compatible if edited with a machine on prime, then trying to open on one of our other machines with Mathcad 14.

I have installed Mathcad 14 on my new computer and tried transferring my license file .dat from my old computer to new. It gives me host Id errors. I have found the ptc support website. https://support.ptc.com/appserver/lm/mathcad/call_logger/callLogger.jsp?as=1 to try to get a new license file. I enter in my product code and it says. Your web account does not hold the following required privileges to access the application: License Management Reporting for read-only access. License Management Licensing for configuration and license file generation access. If I update my web account will a new Mathcad 14 license be issued that matches my new computer? If so how to I go about updating my web account?

I own a perpetual Mathcad 14.0 M020 Single User license purchased directly from PTC. The legacy MCLicense.exe utility authenticates to my PTC account, but the activation request fails with HTTP 403 Forbidden before a license.dat is generated. Since license.dat is never created, Mathcad reports that C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad 14\licenses\license.dat does not exist. Can someone generate a replacement license.dat or License Pack manually?My old PC crashed so I am unable to locate the old file.

I have an existing permanent node-locked educational license for Mathcad 15 and am moving Mathcad from my old computer to a new Windows 11 computer. I still have the original product code and existing license file. Mathcad 15 is installed and running to the point where it requests licensing. The Mathcad Single User/Student Get License page accepts my product code but redirects me to License Management, where my PTC account reports insufficient privileges. The Single User/Student Log Case option also does not proceed. I need assistance re-hosting my existing permanent Mathcad 15 license to the new computer and obtaining a replacement license file for the new Host ID. I can provide the old and new Host IDs, product code, and existing license file privately if required.

HiI have a parabola and *n* circles that need to be plotted simultaneously.The idea is that the value of *n* can be changed, and the plot updates automatically without me having to manually add plots.I have managed to plot the circles individually as upper and lower segments—this works fine, provided I can set up the indexing so that it plots all of them automatically.Additionally, I would like to plot the tangent slopes at the intersection points of the parabola and the circles—I have already calculated these—is this possible? My current go to- where i need to ajust number og circles as the number of piles change: Hope someone can helpBest regreads
