I am changing computers and I cannot find my installation files for Mathcad Prime 4.0. They used to be easy to find but the website is so user unfriendly I cannot locate anything

I agree that the PTC site is a pure nightmare to navigate in.
You may try
https://www.ptc.com/en/support
scroll down a bit and click the hexagonal "Download Software!" icon.
On the new page find and click "Order or Download Software Updates"
-> https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/product.jsp?prodFamily=MCD
It won't let me in - i no longer subscribe to support.
See further below for a link to Prime 4 (Express).

So you may try contacting PTCs support - which can be very cumbersome as far as I can tell.
I guess you need support anyway if you want to change the computer Prime is running on as you probably are not allowed to install the software on more machines. And if you are not under maintenance any more, you probably don't have access to the license manager and would need PTCs support to create a license file for the new machine anyway.
Werner,
Thanks, I intend to uninstall it on my old machine before I try to license it. I guess I'll have to contact support because this website looks and acts like it was written by AT&T...

Nevertheless the product number you used for the first installation may not be valid for another installation (during install the PTC server is contacted to check this) and when you uninstall Prime from your old machine, PTC's server will not take notice of this as its not contacted during uninstallation.
So its very likely that you will need PTC's support to send you a license file for new machine

Good luck! You may need a lot of nerves and patience.

Maybe the website and Prime are developed under the same management - this would explain why the website looks like it does.
Both are an unbelievable impertinence!
Funny.
Started poking around a bit and found this:
I guess this error occurs when you try to install any version of Prime when you already have Mathcad (15 or less) installed.
Luc
And without logging in; the installation for Prime 4 is also found on:
http://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_downloads.htm?_ga=1.143437941.1952089827.1424076986
This is advertised as the Express edition, but I should guess that you can use it to install the full Prime 4, if you own a license code.
Success!
Luc
I tried that, but it downloads Prime 5.0. Thanks though.
Ah, sorry 'bout that. I didn't realize this PTC webpage was telling lies.
Luc
Here you can find Mathcad Prime 4.0: https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp
