1. You need a comma between the j and i on y. i.e. j,i not ji.

2. In your file you have sin(...) - sin (...) , though your picture above shows the second parameter as sh(...). What function is sh? It isn't a Mathcad built-in function.

3. The last term in your equation for y in your file is chi(...).In your picture above you have ch(...). Neither of these are Mathcad built-in functions. What function do you mean?

4. Your h is dimensionless, but H has dimensions of length. Shouldn't h also have dimensions of length?

Alan

Thanks Alan.

2.sin(...) - sh(...) not sin(...) - sin(...)

3. ch(...) not chi(...)

4. h has dimensions.

Please hlep me?.

I is edit file.

Please, show a screenshot, not a .mcdx file. I do not have Mathcad Prime now.

Viktor

ptc_2012_09_11.GIFIn your document the variable H is not defined. In Mathcad H is predefined variable and has a default value of H = 1 Henry. Therefore I assumed H = max(H), i.e. H:= 33.9. See a picture (Mathcad 15).

Viktor

Viktor

Viktor, in his worksheet H is given as 55.95 m, so one should put h:=h.m as well. Is the notation sh and ch commonly used for sinh and cosh in Vietnam? It isn't a notation recognised by Mathcad, obviously!

Alan

Alan,

Indeed the hyperbolic sine and cosine in the english literature is referred to as sinh(x) and cosh(x).
In russian literature - sh(x) and ch(x). See fragment from russian Wikipedia:

In Vietnam... I was not .

Thanks Viktor, I didn't know that! Does the Russian language version of Mathcad use sh and ch or sinh and cosh?

Alan

PS I realise you aren't Vietnamese, but I assume dongchi 420 is!

I use the English version (thanks Mona). But I think that the in "russian" Mathcad hyperbolic functions are defined as sinh and cosh.

Viktor.

Viktor

thank you very much. Viktor,Alan.

Vietnamese :Nếu tôi ở russian tôi sẽ mời các bạn uống bia.

English : If I were in russian I will invite you to drink beer. : D

Thanks

In Mathcad 15 M010 Russian used "sinh(z)" and "cosh(z)".
