I am trying to ingrate the moment of a beam to determine the displacement.

I am trying to ingrate the moment of a beam to determine the displacement of the beam. I am have a hard time getting the evaluation of the displacement to calculate. Can anyone tell me why it takes several hours for the program to calculate the displacement on page 5? Is there a ways to make the calculation quicker? I am using mathcad 15.

Stop and think; each calculation requires a large number of integrations.

y requires a double integration of M

M requires an integration of V

V requires an integration of w

And for each point (of 325) you require Mathcad to start from scratch and calculate each one.

Try fitting a polynomial function to V or M.  You can plot the errors of fit and raise the order of the polynomial until it's close enough--you've got 325 points.  Then deflection becomes an integral of a polynomial--much faster.

Or you could just solve the differential equation, Odesolve is a neat function.
