I have Mathcad Express Prime 4.0, and I cannot find the Control Tools....
(It's not advertised in the "What's new".)
I'm afraid that whoever needs it in Prime, will have to wait at least until the next version of Prime.
Strength!

You're used to Excel, so it feels easy and quick. You'll feel the same and more about Mathcad once you know more about it.
Stick with Mathcad for a while. You'll get used to the interface, keystrokes and syntax. Mathcad will become second nature.
Once you know Excel and Mathcad equally well, you'll be in a better position to evaluate the merits of either. For me, seeing the equations and being able to use units without worrying about conversion errors is the biggest benefit of Mathcad over Excel
