I agree almost any user I know off don't understand why there is three repetitions of the symbol

What about when the dots are very small, i.e. without a symbol mark, like o's, x's and +'s?

In that case it doesn't matter if there is one og three symbols that you can't see anyway.

You're right. Also, checking excel graphs, it shows only one point in the legend, as Val suggest.

Normal Mathcad users want/must search 3 points on the plot, but it is only one!
