I should have been more careful about using "solve" for explicit function. In this work sheet, I have added 4 more demos about the "root function" and the coding of RootOf . The last example [Demo 4] is the " seeded root scanner". Nothing will resist the "seeded root scanner" as long as Mathcad 14 can take in some ways the "root" function. The purpose of this work sheet is for the willing 14 gurus to make it work for the new 14 users. The root function is not a gadget, rather an impressive analytical solver.

In fact, explcit functions that don't have an inverse are legions.

If Mathcad 14 does not have the equivalent RootOf,

lot many Engineering applications will fail .

The RootOf and the coded root function are "incontournable".
