Solve for expressions with variable
Hi, I want to solve a system of equation like the one I have attached. I just want to find the expressions for W(alfa) and P(alfa).

Can you provide the worksheet?

Have a look at the attched, both equations have been solved as a function of Alpha.

There must be something wrong here, where is W(alfa) ? Seems to be missing from the definition... Also, why do mathcad evaluate Fa, mu1, mu2 numerically?

In my example nothing is defined because you are using the symbolic solver, which doesn't require pre-defined variables.
Also, why do mathcad evaluate Fa, mu1, mu2 numerically?
Why you add definitions, Mathcad will substitute the symbol for the value.
I though you where only after the equations for W(alpha) & P(alpha)

Have a look at the attached. I have turned them into functions so they can be used in later calculations. Try dragging the functions below the defined variables and see how Mathcad simplifies the equations.
