I am new to MathCAD and do not know how to approach this problem.
From the following equations, how do I determine P1 and P2 in MathCAD?
F=P1+P2
d1=(P1*L1)/(A1*E)
d2=(P2*L2)/(A2*E)
d1=d2

Valery,That's nice, I would not have thought of that.
But, for a new user, a solve block might be easier to start with.
Valery has shown how this can be calculated symbolically.
Can you provide a worksheet, as this might be able to be solved numerically.
