We maintain both Production count and Waste count in an external database. These values are fetched programmatically into RTPPM, as described here: PTC Community – How to update the production count using Production Event UID.
In addition, we track rejection part counts with multiple rejection reasons. Our requirement is to update these rejection reasons in RTPPM as well.
The question is: Can multiple waste events be created programmatically under a single Production Event UID to capture different rejection reasons with rejection count?
Hi Sathishkumar
Yes, you can create multiple waste events all related to the same production event.
I encourage you to try this : go in the main menu -> Operations -> Waste Events. In the filter, select an equipment (ideally a test equipment, must have production events) and a time range. You will see the list of wastes that already exist. Then click on the Add button. You will have a popup that has multiple steps that allow you to do everything you're looking for, but the steps might be in another order. The popup's steps are : select an equipment and time range for your event, then set some attribute values (see your previous question about quantities), then select the production event (should touch the waste's time range, also you can use the option to change the waste's time range to match the production's time range), and then select the reason. If you want to do this programmatically, you can re-use the same services that the popup uses.
