Windchill Navigate

Background: I’m working on a requirement to filter all Product and Library containers in an Organization based on the template they were created from. So I need to read the template associated with each container.Has anyone successfully retrieved template information for Product or Library containers without hitting this recursion issue or any recommended API for this job? What I’ve tried so far: ContainerTemplateService.getContainerTemplate(...) I attempted calling the getContainerTemplate API using both the container’s own reference and the OrgContainer reference. In all cases, the method consistently returns null, even for containers that I know were created from a template. WTContainer.getContainerTemplateReference().getName() This API does return a template name when called once, but any further processing (such as checking startsWith(...)) triggers a runtime failure:java.lang.StackOverflowError    at wt.method.RemoteMethodServer.invoke    at wt.fc.CachedObjectReference.inflate 

We’re using Windchill Navigate 10.1 with custom mashups that display 3D models from Windchill as well as PVZ files published from Creo Illustrate.  Our illustrators take advantage of the nice render modes in Creo Illustrate but ThingView can only display as “Shaded”.  We’ve been in contact with PTC about this, asking if there are any plans to add render modes to ThingView, or at least be able to display 3D models using the render mode of the source file.  PTC’s response is “want to do it at some point but currently no plans to implement”.We’re beginning a project to implement Connected Work Cell and trying to decide if we need to have the Creo Illustrate authors stick to “Shaded” render mode since that’s what (I assume) will be displayed in CWC.I’m curious if others have encountered the same issue or found any workarounds.Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to execute the “Workflow_GET_AttrDisplayNames_AllEntities” and I get below error: Unable to Invoke Service Workflow_GET_AttrDisplayNames_AllEntities on ptc-windchill-OData-connector : Your route exchange has failed. Service operation failed with status [ - Cannot invoke "org.apache.olingo.commons.api.edm.provider.CsdlProperty.getAnnotations()" because "<local6>" is null]Has anyone faced this before? 

I am using Windchill Navigate (formerly ThingWorx Navigate) Release 9.2 and Datecode with CPS F000 We are using Navigate version 9.2.0 and the ThingView widget in ThingWorx to display 3D models. Our query is whether Creo models/files with the Creo file extension can be viewed in Navigate and ThingWorx using the ThingView widget.

I have created Thingworx Windchill Odataconnector thing from OdataConnector template. All basic settings like ValidateConnection, GetEndPointList works fine. I want to add a custom service (Local Service) to call my custom rest End point added to the WTPart domain getCustomPartList().I can add a new service as Route but I want to modify the data after calling the custom end point.I tried me.getCustomPartList() but not working as expected.

 Hello Community,I have tried to install ThingWorx and Windchill Navigate, but I am facing a few issues. Could you please help me? When I am redirected through the Windchill address I connected to, a Status Code: 500 Windchill error screen appears. I edited the Windchill wtproperties file, but it did not resolve the issue. ThingWorx opens successfully, but the ThingWorx Mashup Runtime displays a blank screen. What could be the reason for this, and how can I fix it?  

Hello everyone, Since I updated Windchill 12.1 to CPS19, I've encountered this issue with Navigate. Is it possible that it's due to the CPS? If not, what could be the cause? The Analyze Problem Report task is successfully displayed in Windchill Navigate, but the associated task-specific attributes are not being retrieved. 

We have a requirement to connect ThingWorx with Windchill using the OData Connector configured with Fixed Authentication. However, Basic Authentication is disabled on the Windchill server.When I configure Fixed Authentication using the Windchill org admin account, I get the following results:ValidateConnection: 200 (Success)RefreshEndpointCache: SuccessGetEndpointList: returns an empty array [] (no endpoints)Could someone please advise how we can populate or retrieve the endpoint list for this Fixed Authentication setup on this server? Thanks in advance,VV

Hello,Have anybody using out of the box View Part structure app? The tree widget in Thingworx removes the duplicate part numbers. That really becomes data integrity issue. We only see one occurrence of the M4X4_SHSS.PRT in Thingworx Navigate . How have you handle this? Thanks,Preeti

We have a customer requirement to restrict the download functionality for Windchill Navigate users, while still allowing them to view (visualize) primary and secondary content attachments. The intent is to prevent users from downloading files, yet enable them to access and read the data through Navigate.Currently, access control in Windchill is managed via ACL permissions. However, if download access is restricted at the ACL level, users are unable to even view or search for attachments in Windchill Navigate. This creates a functional limitation, as the customer wants their users to be able to see the content in Navigate (for example, PDFs or viewable files), but not download it.

Things is not defined Can I NOT use Things within an Expression function? How do i refer to a Thing in another project?  

Hi, We've set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for ThingWorx using Okta as the Identity Provider (IdP) with No CAS. When we access the ThingWorx URL, it redirects to the Okta login page. Hello, I was wondering if anyone has setup Thingworx Navigate to use SSO but only using Okta as the IDP and CAS. We're working on implementing SSO in our Windchill environments and thus our Thingworx Nav would need to be switched to SSO as well, since it integrates with Windchill. Our company has decided we will not use Ping Federate or another CAS and thus only Okta will be used for SSO. We've discussed this with PTC and they said that this is possible to do, but since it's not supported (without Ping Federate) they won't help, so we're on our own trying to set this up.  I'm more looking for guidance and what info would be needed to send to the Okta group so they can setup the app on their end to talk to Thingworx Navigate. Thanks!
