This presentation will show how you can combine PTC Creo View with PTC Creo Parametric and thus acquire totally new abilities to develop products in view of their overall context. A bi-directional interface allows the user to open entire assemblies in PTC Creo View, smart selection options like the neighborhood search function assist the detection process and the designated subset can be transferred to PTC Creo Parametric. Editing in the CAD application is done as usual and alterations can be directly reloaded into PTC Creo View in order to visualize changes within the assembly´s overall context. The coupling feature is not only available for PTC Creo Parametric but also for Catia which allows for alterations undertaken in different CAD systems to be merged in real time in order to be examined. The system offers the option of working in teams and automatically informs involved members of modifications. By means of the messaging system, solid communication ensures a stable construction process. Additionally, the ability to observe and manage generated collisions was implemented to expedite the overall procedure. Detected collisions are depicted directly in PTC Creo View; if needed the neighborhood search is presented. Should modifications be required, they can be performed by switching directly to the CAD application.
