Question

Angle constraint in an assembly

I'm designing an assembly using Creo Elements Prof 5.0 schools edition. I would like to constrain the surfaces of two parts to be angled at 120 degrees. The help center mentions an angle offset type that I think will solve the problem. But it doesn't appear as an offset type in my drop down menu. How do I contrain two parts to be aligned a given number of degrees?

Thanks.

    Hi

You will find angle offset type in creo constraining dropdown

In Windfire it is available. But will not be visible in dropdown list

To use angle offset constrain first you have to give two constrains

    1.mate or aline

    2.Axis to axis

3.Then you have to keep the two faces at certain angle manually(you can rotate pressing Ctrl+Alt+MMB)

    Now select the two surfaces

System will automatically show angle offset constrain

    Try this and reply
