Creo pdf\ptt tutorials question

Hi,

I am mentoring team 3316 in Tel Aviv Israel. I started to teach them the basics of CAD design and found that i am spending a lot of time preparing the presentation for the class.

does anyone know a good available source that i can get pdf tutorials or presentations of the main subjects (part modeling - features etc, assembly, drawing)?

I have instructed them to use the ptc university pslm but i want to cover some topics in depth in class.

Thanks

Itzik

Hello!

Please see the presentation ("Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 for Designers" zipped PowerPoint files) here: http://www.cadcim.com/faculty/proe_5/proe_wf_5.htm

Also on the main site you can find other materials: http://www.cadcim.com/faculty/

P.S. RWDC Curriculum course (may be useful): http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/132347/en/RWDC_HOW.pdf

Hi Itzik,

this one's old, but fairly good http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/103895/en/FTC_Robotics.pdf

I'm finding that the first thing I like to do is give them a quick intro, and then get them playing on the software.

Maybe basic stuff like making boxes and putting holes in them; making sheetmetal parts and bending them; making two components and then assembling them, etc. If I send them off to do stuff on their own, I give them deadlines and then make sure to check via e-mail, etc. to make sure they're making progress.

I'm expecting PTC will have the latest and greatest training out soon.

Hi Itzik,

You could also try the Primer or Intro to Creo Elements/Pro found at the ptcschools.com site.

The Primer is more basic and the Intro a little more advanced. There is some overlap but both are good sources for learning the basics.
