Error installing Mathcad 15

I am currently trying to install Mathcad 15 student edition on my computer. I follow the directions exactly and once it goes through the installation process I get the message:

Install was unsuccessful because of the following serious errors: Mathcad Configuration A problem was encountered during the MSI installation.

Then the licensing program fails to launch.

Can anyone help with this?

Try contacting the Mathcad Install and License team.

I had the same problem (running Win7-64). After talking with tech support the final solution was to bypass the "setup.exe" approach and install using the MSI file: Download the most recent version from the PTC website, unzip, and go to the "mathcad" folder in the extracted folder. Double-click on the "Mathcad15WixInstaller.msi" file and hopefully it will work. I'd think it would also work if you copy the MSI file from the CD to the computer and then run it.
