Full disclosure, this web release is like a basic sponge cake. Perfectly edible, but missing the spices, frosting, cherries, [enter your own favourite ingredients here] to make it really memorable. Expect bug fixes, expect small evolutions, but no major changes to your experience.
There is, of course, an explanation: our web team is working on an impressive layer cake with some delicious new flavours. We're experimenting with them today and releasing free tasters when they're ready.
Sorry if your mind is now fixed on cake. Taste buds tickled, I'd like to bring us gently back on to terra firma, to let you know what you'll see in the June release.
De-duplication of release when Start- and End are the same
The article viewer reminded us that it was just a machine when the "Applies To" field showed something like this:
We wanted it to read more like a human, so we introduced intelligence to detect when start- and end release are the same, and if so, just mention the release once, just like a real human would:
Per-Release fixes in the Update Advisor
Another example of machines behaving like machines...
The pre-June Update Advisor used to check for "closed" SPRs only. This means an SPR where fixes for all fixes have been submitted and verified. Thing is, SPRs frequently get addressed piecemeal with, say, a Creo 4.0 release stream fix being available long before the fix in Creo 3.0.
We've refined the Update Advisor to give you a more accurate picture when a fix is available in your target release.
Help Center Landing Page
We introduced a more navigable landing page for PTC Product Help Centers a while back. With the page now established, we've updated the main header navigation and Help Center links under each product page to bring you to this new location.
Dismiss Banner Option
You asked us for a way to make the eSupport banner disappear once read. Clicking the orange "X" at the top right will free up that space for you again, until a new announcement is made:
ThingWorx Box added to License Management Page
Option added to the License Management page to retrieve licenses for ThingWorx activation IDs (applies to version 8.0 and above).
