I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0
Threaded holes are automatically placed on our DTM_AXIS and HOLE_AXIS layers. Our policy is to have all layers turned off when the drawing is complete. This layers off the cosmetic threads. Removing these axes from the layers reinstates them in the drawing.
So I guess the solution is to not have these on a layer in the first place. How do we stop just the hole axes from being added to a layer in the first place or is there a better way to handle this situation? Kind regards Greg
Modify the layer rules that add items to the layers. It sounds like the hole features are added to a layer. Create a rule that adds the quilt that represents the cosmetic thread to a layer to be hidden for drawings and not the feature.
This will enable the display of the hole axis in the drawing.
Thanks for the information. I'm assuming this takes effect on the actual model/drawing being modified??
I hoping this can be done globally for all threaded holes on all model/drawing combinations with cosmetic threads.
Thanks for the assistance
