This drawing is more recent then the model

This drawing is more recent then the model

What is typically the most common reason to receive the message?

WARNING: This drawing is more recent than the model.

Saving the drawing causes the part that is associated to the drawing to
be saved.

What aspect of the part is being modified, I have to hope that the
physical geometry of the part is not being modified?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Your answer lies in line 3 of your email. Every time you save the
drawing, it saves the model, so the drawing should never be 'more
recent' than the model. When it is, that points to something possibly
amiss in your data. Perhaps another user modified the drawing with a
model from another directory? Perhaps you already had an older version
of the model in session when you opened the drawing? Maybe the files on
disk were modified or moved outside of Pro|E?

The warning is to tell you that something doesn't seem right so you can
dig into it and see what's happening. It's saying that it's quite
possible that you don't have the latest version of the model.

I see this too and we are using Windchill.
I think that it is because a model or sub-assy in your assy was saved or
checked-in without being completely regenerated.
When you open the drawing and it does a complete regen of every part, it
sees the parts as being newer than what was checked-in.
