Hostname change results in error in MSSQL database connection with PTC RV&S appplication

I have installed MSSQL Server and PTC RV&S client and Admin in a virtual machine. Now the machine's hostname has been changed and have done below remediation-

• Got new license from PTC
• Changed is.properties files by replacing old hostname with new one.
• Changed the hostname in SQL server management studio with a query.
• Have checked the TCP/IP port as well.
• Executed the Telnet to the new hostname and sql port - working

what all steps do I need to follow to remediate the issue and avoid the error. Also is there any need to install the application again as well?
