It is possible to change the filter hint text in dropdown after clicking on it?

The default behavior is that the hint text disapear when you write something.

It doesn't seem to be possible to change the filter hint text in dropdown when clicking on it. The filter can be changed when deleting the text filter and typing another text filter or you can use the x sign from the right in the dropdown and erase the filter hint text to input another filter hint text.
