How to leverage ConnectedThingClient in this case?

I am looking for solution where in a TWX extension REST API can be replaced with WebSocket. Basically would like to run an WSClientEndpoint listening to updates from ServerEndpoint, which run as twx thing service and can be consumed on Mashups.
