I want to know what thingworx flow is and what thingworx foundation is. Basically their differences and their use cases means when to use flow and when foundation.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Thingworx is an IOT platform which basically connects remote devices (remote things in ThingWorx) to a central DB. The remote Things(representation of device) can have properties which can be persisted in DB for further analysis/representation on mashups for various business use cases. You can also apply conditions/alerts on these properties to achieve your use cases.
ThingWorx flow is "By exception" processing engine. If you have a property on a device and an alert/condition on that property when that alert/condition is met, then flow is configured to react on that alert. ThingWorx basically handles the stream of data and flow is configured to react on the exception on that data.
