9.1 to 10.0

Hi All,

I’m looking into Windchill 10.0 and am trying to migrate a test 9.1 M060 system to 10.0 M020. I’m up against an error with the “Configure Database And LDAP” step of the Upgrade Manager. It appears to have an issue with the “pendingUsers” ou. (By the way what is a pending user?)

It says pendingUsers doesn’t exist, however it did on import. If I recreate the pendingUsers ou, the upgrade manager deletes it. Any ideas?

I'm working on earningmy “Windchill Legs”; this has been quite an adventure since we migrated from Intralink 3.4 earlier this year.

Hello Dave,

I am guessing you are authenticating against another LDAP or AD server?

If that is the case then you must setup that authentication before your run
the upgrade
tool.

You can also go into the WinchillDS control panel, click on "Manage
Entries", copy the
"pendingUsers" entry from the source data (o=ptc,Windchill_9.1,....) and
paste it in the same place in
the target data (o=ptc,Windchill_10.0,.....)

But ..... if you do not setup your AD auth before hand you will have other
issues.
