Auto-Associate WTpart to a context subfolder

Version: Windchill 12.0

Use Case: User has a new CADdocument in workspace which was created in Creo. Select for check in. In Check In screen, select a subfolder of the context parent folder for the CADdocument. Select Next. Auto Associate Parts to CAD Documents is selected. Finish. In Windchill, the CADdocument goes to the subfolder, WTpart goes to the parent folder.

Description:

User has a new CADdocument in workspace which was created in Creo. Select for check in. In Check In screen, select a subfolder of the context parent folder for the CADdocument. Select Next. Auto Associate Parts to CAD Documents is selected. Finish. In Windchill, the CADdocument goes to the subfolder, WTpart goes to the parent folder.

We would like the WTpart to follow the CADdocument to the subfolder.

Check your site preferences for this setting:

Operation - Auto-Associate - Store New Parts with CAD Documents

what is your setting? I think if you do this in a two step operation, it defaults to the Workspace preferences.
