Customer has the following requeriments:
- Windows Server updates are scheduled and applied automatically on weekends
- Updates must be installed without stopping Windchill services. If Windows Server requires a restart after installation, it will be done also autmatically
Do you have any experience with this scenario?
Is there any best practice or recomendation from PTC saying that Windchill servicies must be stopped before a Windows update installation?
Thanks in advance!

High availability.
Cluster environment can solve your issue. Just each cluster server has to be restarted at different time.
PS> try to explain to your customer that if you maintain a CAR, for example changing tires you can not drive at the same time, you need an another car. .

Hello Petr, thans for your explanation
The solution in this case is not about high availability, The problem is that IT schedule automatic Windows OS updates during weekends, when users are not working. They don't stop Windchill services and Windchill becomes unresponsive after Windows restart.
We are trying to explain them that windchill services should be stopped before this Windows update, but I'm unable to find PTC documentation.
Thanks!
