Benchmark performance

Hi All,

I'm trying to get a feeling if our problems are our configuration, or typical Windchill numbers.

So how long does it take for your systems?

We are seeing checking times of 60-90 seconds and Synchronizing times of 120 seconds with a workspace of 900 objects.
With a WS of only a 9 objects, it is a 10s time.
Our Upload happens in just a few seconds, so we don't what the problem is.

PTC TS has not been very helpful in working on this.

Users say this has changed from 9.1 M060 we were on since upgrading to 10.0 M030 / ProE WF5 M120/160.

I'll take breadcrumbs you can drop.

Thanks! Happy Friday!

We ran into a similar problem with large models, but not so much with
small models. For us, the "fix" was to disable the "circular reference
check" which is a hidden Windchill server side preference that we needed
PTC Technical Support's assistance to find and change. The entire process
of figuring this out and successfully making the change was difficult, and
I cannot find the exact guys who did the work to get more details. You
might call tech support and ask about this circular reference check on
pro/e check in.

If it is not that, then it might always be poor database indexing that PTC
Tech Support can help optimize for your data set.

Al,
How can I find out more about this HIDDEN server side circular reference check you mentioned. I have been struggling with performance issues and wonder is turning that off would help.
