Creo View add-on & workstation admin rights

All,

I've been trying to get our IT department to push the Creo View add-on and ActiveX controls without the need to give users local admin rights.

They're saying it's not going to happen due to some restriction or other. Have any of you encountered this problem and if so how did you handle it?

Thanks,

Don

Hi Don,

We are currently using Microsoft System Center 2012, which is SCCM. We
are able to push the Creo View install to anyone within the company, it
will grant the install admin rights just for the basis to install the
application. It works very well and we have had very little issues with
it. The hardest part is to make sure you install all the prerequisites
correctly, which are all the C++ toolkits and such. In some rare
instances we've had to do a manual install but that is minor compared to
manually installing on hundreds of computers.

Regards,
Eric
