Display Domain on wtDocument

Version: Windchill 12.1

Use Case: We are exploring the use of Domain's on Folders (Display Folder Domains) using new Orgs to define the permissions within one Library. This is working as users from the named Domain (lets call them Tea) can only see the Folders in the Tea domain and those in "coffee" can only see the coffee folders. We also have a café folder where both can see. That's great but they can search and find the documents in the other domain, they just can't see the folder. Is there an option to also apply a domain to a document?

Description:

User in Tea can only see the Tea folders and are not able to see Coffee folder or documents created within that folder.

Hi @LG_10096154

You need to define the ACL also to the documents, and play with deny option that users can not see the documents in the entire domain. (folder)

Both Coffee and Tea use the same document type so we cannot use a deny on the document.

This is also true for roles, both Caffee and Tea are in the same Role and have the same abilities in that role. The team Template for each Org's change objects needs to name the person from Coffee for that Role in the workflow and the same for Tea.

Hi @LG_10096154

It is bad. 😄 . I would retype the document to an another type and set the acl.
