Does the Windchill Product Team Replace function reassign the checked-out CAD data to the new user ?

• Hello community,

  I have a question for User replace in Windchill Product Team roles.
  
  When trying to cleanse our Product teams, due to some users who left the project team, we noticed some users were "Disconnected from directory service", but we weren't able to remove them from their author role because they have checked-out data.

  
  Unfortunately it is impossible to retrieve their data to Undo Check-Out because the name cannot be found in the field Checked-Out by of the search CAD data menu, I guess this is because the user is Disconnected.
  
  We considered to possibly use the "Replace" user feature, but we didn't because it is unclear to us what replace will actually do and wether it will re-assign the checked-out data.

  Any idea or suggestion is welcome.
