When creating a Creo 2.0 M120 part (.rtt or .asm file) we
enter the name (PTC_COMMON_NAME). This
name is what we want to have used when we create a drawing as the name
(PTC_COMMON_NAME). We have also incorporated
this in our drawing formats to use it as the description for the drawing.
Is there a method to have Creo automatically assign the
PTC_COMMON_NAME from the Default Model to the PTC_COMMON_NAME for the drawing?

CAn I convert this to a discussion?
Hi Bryan,
I am sorry to right that you cannot convert the content type - please start a new discussion.
Once you do that, it would be a good idea to make a new post her with a link to the discussion.
Thanks for alerting me Marco Tosin
Best,

To the original post. Yes you can. when you add that parameter to a note. &ptc_common_name to the drawing, the drawing typically will add ":D" to the end of the parameter. once that is originally done you should be able to go back and remove that addition.
