How to set revision for a new Pro/E model/drawing?

How can a user set the revision when a new model is created by Pro/E's menu: File > New?

When creating from the workspace embedded browser, the revision will default to the initial rev, but can be changed before the new object is committed.

But when created from Pro/E's File > New, no such option is offerred, so we always end up with the initial revision.

Am I missing something?

If you allow the set revision preference, then you should be able to
change the revision in the workspace before the object is checked in. I
do not use it but I remember testing it. I forget if the item has to be
uploaded first. It will show the initial revision but before the check
in, you can alter it. I think it might be "set revision" or new
revision.

I was not aware that I could revise a new object (not just checked-out objects) in the workspace before it is checked in.
