I need your comment about windchill reverse proxy

Hi i'm Windchill engineer

I had just started and i need your comment about windchill reverse proxy

windchill was built in one network

If someone goes on a business trip to another location or wants to access Windchill from another vendor, he or she access it as a reverse proxy.
For this, I refer to CS68466How to setup a reverse proxy for Windchill PDMLink.
Even if you have completed the above procedure, access from a PC with a different network is not allowed
I want a document that looks a bit more detailed or actually complete.
I would be grateful if anyone could answer.
Please Help me please

Thank you.

Hi

I think you may look into these approaches to access Windchill over internet :

  1. Through VPN client.
  2. Through Port forwarding. When allowing something through the network, you typically need to port forward through the router and have that port open in the firewall to allow outside connections to happen.

You may need to work with your system admin or network admin to configure this configurations.

Hi arshad

I opened port 80 [used in Windchill] through port forwarding.
And all of the firewalls are off.
Accessing this way will show up to the login page, but not after login.
However, I did not access it in the reverse proxy configuration, and I accessed Windchill simply through the external Ip.
Is it to configure a reverse proxy because this approach is not possible?
Is there a way to configure a reverse proxy?
I looked at CS68466 but did not understand it properly.
Can I configure Windchill Directory Server and change configuration information on another PC in the same network to configure a reverse proxy?

Thank you.
