IE Update Policy

Hello All,

Do you have some kind of enforcement mechanism put in place by respective IT dept? Or is it a verbal mutual agreement followed by your Windchill users and your Windchill Admin team?

Regards,

Nitin

Since we are running Windows 7 we won’t be going higher than IE 9 (And it will be a cold day in heck when we go to Win8). We have mandatory security updates and optional version upgrades that I send out regular warnings to avoid. And invariably I spend time uninstalling IE 10, 11 etc.

You can block the automatic windows updates from installing ie 10 and ie 11.

Here is a tool from Microsoft that performs the operation.

Looks like it simply adds a registry setting.
