We are happy to introduce one new tool on the eSupport site! This tool is designed to quickly get you the information you need in one place without having to search for it.
The Windchill Stability Troubleshooter is designed as a wizard. It will help to guide you to the most common solutions for Windchill server stability. Most issues are complex. Within a couple clicks you can review the most common solutions for that specific issue. Many of these solutions have links that open a popup window for more detailed steps.
Our knowledge experts are actively monitoring your feedback and continuing to enrich the content. Even if you’re not currently having a Windchill stability question, take a look and tell us what you think!
Looks great.
Note: May want to use a D:\ or higher drive for the example Windchill install location. The example has C:\, which likely is very rare. Also, may want to use 11.1 or higher since 11.0 support runs out very soon.
I would suggest E:\ or higher as D:\ is typically a CD/DVD device for loading files.
We never use the C:\ drive for loading files as that is usually a smaller disk size for the OS only.
Good idea! updated!
Very good idea, updated to driver D and 11.1
Can you tell me how can I find this tool on the support site? The link here is great, but it would be nice to know how to navigate to it on the PTC Support site.
It would seem this is classified as a 'Digital Service' and there are over a 1000 of them:
I wasn't able to find a central launching point by product either, so maybe the search tool is the only way. Of course the bummer with that is you have to already know what it's named.
Hi Scott,
Besides Tom's suggestion, the tool can be searched out if input below keywords:
Windchill stability
Windchill not runing
windchill not start
windchill exit
http error code
Thanks and Regards,
Maggie
