Linking ProE file and MS Word file in PDMLink

Hello,

I am on Windchill PDMLink 9.1. I have a set of ProE files and a MS Word document which contains some information related to the ProE files. I would like to link these, so that when I pull up the ProE files to promote them, the MS Word document also comes along with it and can be promoted together. Is there a wayto achieve this?

Please advise me in this regard.

Thanks,

Shridhar Natarajan

Need to use WTParts as the glue...

I am not sure you want to manage the MS word document in PDMLINK. If not
you can add that word document as an attachment to the EPMdocument and
then promote the EPMDocument.

I sincerely hope that we should be managing Word documents and other Microsoft Office documents in PDMLink....I'm planning on managing almost everything we create (or at least everything we create that we send to a customer) in PDMLink.I think Mike is right in that WTParts is where this connection is made. If you look at the info page of the WTPart, you should see "Related Objects" as a menu. This allows you to relate Documents to the WTPart. NOTE: It will require you to check out the WTPart I believe.
Mike -

Thank you very much Gentlemen. Your solutions were very useful.
