We are in the process of migrating from Intralink 3.4 to PDMLink 9.1. We believe we have discovered an issue with non-cad objects in PDMLink 9.1 not being available in our workspaces (they were in 3.4). That means we do not see a modified status on these objects (if we changed them), since the file has to be exported out of the workspace to disk to modify it, and then we can't tell if someone else has modified the file and checked it back in (no compare status tools). So we are looking at other alternatives -- Has anyone seen or used a program known as M-Files Professional? The web site claims that it is a Document Manager and from the demo we viewed, appears to have the missing functionality that we believe we have lost in the move to PDMLink.
So, my question to the forum? Is anyone using M-Files Professional as a Document Manager for non-cad objects alongside of PDMLink?
