Objects are left in "In Work" state after audit approval of Change Notice.

Objects are left in "In Work" state after audit approval of Change Notice.

I have an issue where objects associated with a change notice are left in the "In Work' state instead of getting promoted to my Released state after the change notice is audited and approved. The work flow is this:

  1. CAI creates a Change Request and associates the objects in question
  2. CAI approves the Change Request
  3. CAII creates a Change Notice and assigns the task to a user
  4. the user opens the objects in Pro/Engineer,
  5. the user does a "Revise and Check out...",
  6. the objects at this time are set to "In Work" state
  7. the user makes changes and checks in the changed objects
  8. the user selects "Complete Task" for the change notice
  9. CAII reviews and approves the Change Notice
  10. CAIII audits and approves the Change Notice
  11. I would expect at this point for the objects to be promoted to my "released" state however they are still in "In Work".

Does anybody have any pointers or clues for me to figure this out?

Thanks

Dependent on having the Change transition from In Work to Released in the Document / CAd Document / WTPart lifecycle.

Also confirm that the data worked on is on the Resulting Objects table of the Change Task. If not revised on the Change Task (e.g. Revisesd in the workspace), then adding the Resulting Objects table is a manual task.

In the "In Work" state I have the "PROD" (my "released" state) state selected
for the "Change" transition.

The objects in question show up in the Affected Objects table but not in the
Resulting Objects table.

What do you mean by "revised on the Change Task"?

On resulting items are set to the Production state

Hello Randy

Make sure that you select the objects you want to be released in the Resulting Objects table in the CN Task object. Then it should change the objects to Released.
