Optional Dependents

I have an assembly model that consists of a machined casting and a bushing. When I open the assembly model in Pro/E, in session it shows the cast model, the machined model and the bushing. However when I go to checkin the assembly, I keep getting an additional cast and machined model that show ups a dependents, but when I hoover over where it says dependent in the table, it lists these as "Optional Dependents." Why are they showing up? Can you do anything so they don't show up? They aren't in the assembly, I'm guessing they cast and machined model in the subassembly where at one time copied and renamed (save as) from the ones showing up as "Optional Dependents." I can checkin the subassembly fine, but just wondering why it grabs models that no longer are in assembly file....?

Thanks!
