Windchill Experts:
We are going to PDMLink 9.1.
We are currently developing on M040.
We have a need to have Quantity 0 in bills of material (WTPartUsageLinks
of Quantity 0).
We cannot do this out of the box.
Does anyone know if there is a configuration, or well-known customization,
or anything else that might allow us to use Quantity 0 in bills of
material?
The reason we need this is because our ERP system works better with
Quantity 0 with Unit of Measure (UOM) "Each" for "As Needed" items rather
than "Quantity 1" with UOM "As Needed." Of course, changing our ERP
system to work better with "As Needed" items is an obvious recommendation,
unfortunately, it is much harder and more expensive for us to modify that
system than to adjust PDMLink to accept Quantity 0 (assuming that we can).
Any help would be appreciated.
