Albert,
You do not need to move all the data, only the highest level sub-folders they are in, provided you don't have everything locateddirectly at the root. I guess moving a folder does not physically move the datait contains, only the references.
Or am I missing something ?

PDMLink Solutions:
Does anyone have experience with, or a script to move large numbers of
EPMDocument and SubFolder objects?
We have a PDMLink 9.1 M040 system that manages Pro/E CAD data (EPMDocument
objects).
In November, we plan to move our Windchill 8 data into that PDMLink
system.
Our plan is to use the existing CAD libraries for our parts, documents,
and changes in Windchill 8 using extract and load tools that we are
building.
However, we want to move all of our CAD folders and objects from their
current Context into a "/CAD" subfolder in the same context. Basically,
all the existing data in each library needs to go "down" one level.
Using the out of the box multi-select, copy/paste, we can do this
operation, but it takes hours to move the volumes of data we have in just
one subfolder in one library. Therefore, we need a programmatic way to
move these folders and EPMDocuments.
Has anyone done this kind of mass-move before? Do you have any scripts or
programs that were useful that you could share?
Thank you.
