Of course if you use vmware or another virtual, you can have both on same box.
But I would assume the only other route is to have oracle hold both SIDs.
I would imagine your oracle version will be 10g or 11i. I am not sure you could import your
ilink 3.4 ilnk sid into your current oracle install.
I am not a oracle guru, so anytime I get anything to work, its by luck or trial & error.
I have had wc8 & wc9 in same oracle db on same box, but that was 2 different installs & I just
named the SIDs different names.
But tats fresh PSI & oracle installs. I don't know if an import of ilink 3.4 dump file would
work. I thought about trying, but didn't want to clean up the mess or go through the headache,
not knowing oracle well enough.
If some oracle/wc guru here knows if it will work & how, then I'm sure you could use just one
box for migration.
I would be interested in knowing if it can be done. I do many consulting services migrations,
so that could maybe help me in the future.
