Parts catalogs

Hello all,

in short: What all should be included in Windchill parts catalog?

l´m absolutly sure about:

- start parts

- formats (*.FRM)

- standardized parts (screw, washer...)

Up to now we have worked without Windchill and we have used "shared unit" W:Creo_setup as a storage place of our company standards. In generall all was driven by config.pro options.

Could you give me some tips please?

For example:

Include UDF´s into parts catalogs, because ...

My idea is:

Will stay using config.pro option. l will move UDF´s into parts catalog in future when l will dicover some reasonable reason.

What l´m afraid:

Has to be something included from first start of Windchill?

Thx for every tip or trick...

Have a nice day all.

Well at last!!!

It depends on everyone choice. There is no different between load company data from Windchill or from a company net.

TIP:

If you wanna load formats from windchill, you have to change config.pro option.

It´s stricly recommend to have the same name of server at all workstations ---> from the reason of config.pro distribution to other workstations.

Hope it will somebody helps...
